Freestyle hiking in Georgia (July 2023)

Next stop was a very nice gorge in which we found a super nice camp spot.

We had a nice dog friend, made stick bread and did a pretty crazy hike. It started easy but soon the track ended in nothing and we continued going up the steeper and steeper slope. We even had to do some easy climbing to continue. It was pretty adventurous.

After some hours we reached the top and visited an impressive view point with a glass floor. Ani had some fear of heights but managed to face it.

After the hike we took the easy way back to our camp spot and we were gifted a lot of fruits by the locals.

Wonderful multi-day hike in the Borjomi Natural Reserve (June 2023)

The weather got a lot better and so we searched for another hike in the Small Caucasus.

We found one in the Borjomi Natural Reserve and it was super beautiful. When we arrived at the ranger station at the start of the tour we had to pay some Euros to park Rosinante for three nights and the rangers were super friendly. And there were some cute puppy friends.

The next day we went up the mountain and found a wonderful place for our tent. We were the only people on that mountain, had a lot of fun on a water spring and watched the amazing sunset.

A multi-day hike with a fantastic view and a bear in Turkey (June 2023)

Cindy was still resisting to accept her nickname Bengel and suggested the nickname “Lausmadl” instead of “Bengel” but I did not like that one.

We searched on Open Street Map for a hiking route in northern Turkey and found a really good one.

On the first day it was raining a bit but our rain covers, especially Cindy’s natural one, did their job.

At the end of our first day, we found a fantastic place to put our tent and the next day was super nice as well.

After we had reached the summit on the second day, we went all the way down. In total almost 30 km. In the last part, when it started to get dark, we met a very big bear. We were just running down the mountains when we heard him next to us in the woods. We guessed that he was surprised by us and when he started running through the woods. Breaking the branches etc. he made a lot of noise. He was really big.
