We took the flight from Kuala Lumpur to Krabi in Thailand. Our first destination was the climbing area called Spirit Mountain. See it on thecrag.com. We had contact with the receptionist in advance to figure out if we were allowed to pitch up our tent at the Eco Lodge Resort which is almost completely surrounding the climbing crag. It was a nice contact and for 15 Euros a night, they led us stay on their property and use their facilities.
We arrived in the evening and they were so cute: they had sent us a video so that we could find our tent spot, they installed some temporary lights to make it easier for us, and when we met the workers who were living on the property, they were playing and singing some reggae and chill songs and having just a good time! They were so happy, relaxed and welcoming.
What a start for our T-Hailand experience!

The property was very nicely built and really followed a lot and clever ecological guidelines.

Our tent life home about 50 meters away from the climbing routes.

The routes were awesome and we enjoyed the climbing a lot and it was nice to discover the different climbing sectors around the whole crag.

Tufa-style!

A pig living in the wall.

And there were quite some other climbers which we really liked after mostly climbing alone in Malaysia.
We met another couple from Germany and became friends. They were very nice and even offered us to store our climbing gear so that we would not have to carry it with us for the upcoming weeks when we would explore the Thai islands.

One special route was going up a liana.

On the top of the liana.

This was the spirit mountain from a distance.

We loved our little climbing oasis.

With the cat friends, …

… the dog friends, …

… and it good vibes and friendly Thais and other visitors.

For food, we went to the main road and the restaurants there. The distance was about four kilometers but sometimes a friendly Thai on a scooter picked us up and we had good fun riding with him.

The way was worth it.
